Raised on an egg ranch, learning the family business of selling farm fresh eggs was part of growing up in San Diego. He bought the family business in 1997 and incorporated his vision of expansion while keeping his parents’ dream alive. The egg ranch is now a fond memory, as the Buchmann Ranch transformed into renovated, updated warehouses, coolers and freezers which are now filled with ingredients, supplies … and eggs. Getting to this place has been quite a journey, and with the help and support of his egg coalition network, his family, the community, and trusted industry partners, Max was able to build his business to support other San Diego County businesses.

Today, Buchmann Bakery & Restaurant Supplies is the premier San Diego wholesale distributor icon. Buchmann has a growing staff of professionals, a fleet of trucks and drivers for routes through San Diego, Imperial, Riverside and Los Angeles counties; and are in the process of filling our expanded warehouse space with new supplier items. We have some big shoes to fill. Future goals include partnership growth, increasing our customer base, contributing to our charitable causes, including Food Shelters for the Homeless, and supporting our local military.
